A quick catch-up

So I took Friday off to take Q to the airport (he visited his family this weekend in Sacramento). It was a pleasant day, and the trees are turning colors, so it was a nice ride up and back. I ran a few errands while I was out and about, including buying a new pair of pants, so it was productive.

Friday night was the local gaming group. We played Betrayal, Rummikub, Transamerica, Management Material, and Tsuro. Next time we want to learn Gloom, and Danny has another game he created he'd like to introduce us to.

Other than that I didn't do squat this weekend except eat junk food and play City of Heroes (when the lag wasn't making me lose connection - it's the Halloween event, so it's a tad crowded). Today it's back to work, but that's ok, and tonight I have to drop my boss off at her mechanic, go to an HOA meeting, and then pick up Q at the airport (then he goes right to work, poor bastard).

Um, yeah. MY GORGEOUS LIFE indeed.

The Champions Halloween starts tomorrow, so I'm planning a night of game play. Andrew needs to get busy to catch his character up to mine.

Have you forsaken CoH now?

I have been on C0H for a year or so, and then I was only playing my villain character. I got excited by the early announcement of Diablo III so reloaded and played a new sorceress character through Diablo II. Andrew jumped on and got a lifetime subscription to Champions and then bought me the game as an early birthday present. It is very much a C0H 2.0, some similar gameplay and missions but with some nice differences. My tank is now level 31 and has a couple powers points still spend - I'm waiting to see more build guides for advice.

I just got my 48 month vet reward, so I'm not planning to abandon CoH any time soon. If you do find yourself there, remember to look me up - @esprix. :)

I am sadly trapped by whatever games made it out here with me - I have twice as many more still sitting in storage in San Diego. I do try to keep up with your latest reviews since I found a local place where I can order new stuff, so as finances permit I'm hoping to keep expanding. :)

The grass is always greener, m'dear. Trust me, there are lots of someones out there who are jealous of your life, whether you believe it or not.

Re: Um, yeah. MY GORGEOUS LIFE indeed.
While in my current mental state i would be hard pressed to believe you logically i know you are right and can think of a lot of people that would indeed take my crushing despair just to have a roof over their heads where as i think i would take almost anything to have a resolution to it.

You do have blessings. Count them. You more than most know that nothing is permanent, so focus on the positive whenever you can, hon.

Doom and...
Gloom's fun, though the starter game only accommodates up to 4 people I believe.
I -love- the card design.

Re: Doom and...
That's the reason I picked it up - it just seemed neat. :)
