"It's time... to lip sync for your life!"

We just got finished watching the finale and reunion show of RuPaul's Drag Race

CAMEROOOOOOOOON!

Honestly, we thought she pretty much had it sewn up once Ongina left, and we're pleased. Nina was fierce, but I don't think she had the aesthetic to pull off being an American-accessible drag queen. Rebecca really let it all fall apart at the end, and by the end of the finale I had gone from rooting for her to pretty much deciding that she'd pulled the "I'm not a bitch, I'm just misunderstood" card one too many times, so oh well. I loved how Ru just took her right out of the running and let it get down to the final 2.

The reunion was fun. Ongina is just adorable. I like Jade, but I don't really see anything special about her (I appreciated seeing her have it out with Rebecca and then get over it so kindly). We were both kind of surprised at how bitter Tammy was (but I still love her). Victoria is just a big mushy sweetheart. I think Akashia just needs a big hug and someone to tell her she doesn't have to be angry anymore. I think Santino was out of line calling Shannel cheap, because she is Vegas showgirl glam. We both especially loved watching Ru's Tyra-inspired (yet overwhelmingly positive) meltdown.

All in all I thought it was a great, upbeat show, and I'm glad they're bringing it back for another season. We're going to see if we can find out where Bebe's playing during pride season and go see her if we can. I wish some of the girls lived closer so we could go see them, but the closest is Victoria in Raleigh.

I loved Nina, she was awesome, however I also sorta knew that she wouldn't win but she'd be real close. I was pretty right on when it was down to the 3, I knew right away Bebe's gonna win, she's more of the Ru kind, I can see her taking over as the next Ru. Still, I do love Nina, a lot of her styles were really amazing. And it's still amazing to see all that tattoo just disappears when she does the full on drag.

Nina was great, and I think it's telling that she never had to lip sync for her life. I the end, though, I just didn't see her relating to mainstream audiences - her look was too niche.

So far the only contestant scheduled to come to Boston any time soon is that "misunderstood" Becky Glasscock. Of course she'll be at a club suitable to her attitude so there's no chance of my accidentally running into her and snatching her wig. lol

I'd go to see her just because she really is that pretty, but yeah, I'd trip her up if I had the chance.

I missed the entire show, but caught the finale. I do think Rebecca out of drag is super hot.

You should watch the whole thing. Jade out of drag wasn't bad, and of course there's Ongina. :)

i have a serious thing for drag queens (someday, i *will* find a nice bisexual one, I swear). One of the things I live about them is how beauty transfers....almost every one of them is gorgeous on both sides of the fence.
