Stop being a hypocrite

I love how people want a more civilized campaign, yet continue to use derogatory language like "Obamassiah" and "Comrade Barack."

Honestly, just stop it. It just makes you look ignorant, petty and pathetic. I cannot ever see a time when I would agree with Republican politics, but I don't insult them every time I speak their names. What are you, five?

yes they are. indeed they are. republicans rank and file is formed from some of the most uneducated childish people i have ever met. I know there are exceptions. there are to all things. Including gravity for Brahma's sake but for the people i met who call themselves Republicans the intelligent ones turned out to be libertairans and fiscally conservative vrs republicans and the ones that actually supported thier crap were just retarded. Binary thinking weak minded cumbuckets

just my opinion though and i am sure it will come back to bite my ass someday when i run for president.

I certainly can't disagree that what Republicans stand for, on the whole, I don't. I've been mostly fortunate that my conservative friends aren't quite the lunatics of the radical right, but sometimes I worry nonetheless...

the problem there and it is also with other parties as well is what they stand for and what they do are two very different things. Very different anymore.

Well that's certainly true enough.

I'm happy they're doing it. See, the kind of crazies that are coming out of the wordwork and hurling stuff like that about McCain are scaring off the moderates to to the Obama camp, so it's a good thing overall.

It certainly is telling, isn't it?

I always found that to be pretty lame as well, and I can't stand him, either.

I find "Obamassiah"/"Obamessiah" inaccurate but not derogatory. I don't think he's a great savior of the country, but it's not an insult to imply there are people who do.

Well similarly some people think McCain will rescue us all from every disaster that's befallen us, but I would think it was equally offensive to call him "McJesus" or some such. By labelling the person AS what some people might see him as is to imply that ALL people - including the person him or herself) - him or her that way. At least, that's how I see it.

Today I got the text of this page in an e-mail from one of my more crazy relatives in the Deep South.

Appalling stuff, and I just sent a quick reply "You don't think that's for real, do you?"

No reply so far.
