Another fun-filled weekend

Fun welcome home party for Greg, but Pride House hasn't seen this much retroperistalsis since New Year's Eve. (Fortunately, none of it was in the car or on the rugs.) Quincy was quite far gone by the time he passed out, much to the amusement of everyone present (except me).

Due to said hard partying, you'd think there'd have been less on Saturday, but you'd be wrong. After getting a very late start we ended up at the mall to do some shopping, but after we ate I wasn't feeling so hot, so I left the boys at Kyan's so they could go out to the new DC club, Town. We were supposed to go to a housewarming, but at that point it wasn't happening, although I do feel bad since we just met CJ and he seems like a good fellow. No doubt we'll make it up to him at some point.

When I woke up around 8:00 a.m. on Sunday and realized I was still alone in bed, a quick phone call revealed the boys STILL hadn't made it home. *sigh* The things I put up with. I hear they got in around 9:45 a.m., so Sunday was spent with much resting and Chinese food.

Work today, but it's nice and quiet. No kitties until tomorrow. I tried to find another vet who could take them earlier so we could bond over the weekend, but no go. This means we pick them up and then leave the next day for Mom's, but they'll adapt. Also found out the vet we're using does laser declawing, so we're going to schedule them for that soon, too. Shopping tonight for kitty supplies, plus baking cookies and getting ready to leave on Wednesday.

Why????? With a scratching post that you drench in catnip, you should be able to train them off of any furniture or carpet. We have been very successful with the two shelter cats who were 6 months and 18 months when they arrived and with the drifter who's over 2 years old and was never house trained.

I've had cats, and I've made the decision to have them declawed. I specifically am going for the laser declawing based on vet recommendations.

When they start making air quotes whenever they refer to their "la-ser" claws I think it'll be time to thaw out Austin...
