I got tagged by rvrjoe775 for the "LJ userpics explanation" meme, so here goes:
This is my Finn/Junko slash icon. If you've never seen Storm Hawks, it's a cool new cartoon on Cartoon Network, and, yes, these two and their relationship-couched-as-friendship has gotten me unequivocably hooked on slash. I blame minotaurs, of course. I use it when I'm feeling slashy or when I'm talking about Storm Hawks.
I made this icon out of the original watercolor Q painted for me of us as superheroes, "Pasty Pale White Boy & Pinoy Boy Toy". It was the first watercolor he ever did, and it was all for me. We're superheroes! Hee! (Needless to say I did recreate them on City of Heroes, but we haven't really had a chance to team up yet.) I use it sometimes when I'm talking about me and Q, although I have other icons for us, too.
Back in my old SDMB days I was once compared to Hermey the dentist elf. It stuck. I lurves him. :) I use it when I'm feeling coquettish.
So happy was I that Star Trek: Hidden Frontiers had openly gay characters, let alone that they were played by pansyfilmmaker and pinkvinylangel, whom I adore, that I had to make it into an icon. :) I don't use it much, but it has a certain squee factor when I do.
This is the logo for the Gaylactic Network, the international GLBT sci-fi, horror, comics and gaming organization that promotes queer genre work and sponsors Gaylaxicon every year (this year in Atlanta, next year in DC, 2009 in Minneapolis). I use it whenever I talk about the Network or G'con.
This is my device in the SCA - "per fess azure and argent, a cow statant argent marked sable and a feather fesswise reversed azure", which is basically a cow with a blue feather, cows being my OLD schtick in the SCA, and me being an active member of Clan Blue Feather. I use it when I'm talking about SCA or Clan stuff.
I found this icon from someone else on LJ, and I like it for sad posts. I note, though, upon closer examination, that there's light on the horizon. I kind of like that, too.
If you want to play the rules are:
Comment on this post. I will choose seven userpics from your profile and you will explain what they mean and why you are using them. Post this along with your answers in your own journal so others can play along.
1. Reply to this post, and I will pick 7 of your userpics.
2. Make a post (including this meme info) talking about the userpics I chose.
3. Other people can then comment on your post, and then you pick 7 for them, and so on.
