Just finished putting up the lights in the office yesterday. Have had the lights at home mostly up since Thanksgiving. I'd have done my dad proud if I hadn't done the bulk of it on a warm day (made up for by finishing on colder days). Still a few things here and there to do (like get a tree), but the house looks fab. I'll post pictures soon once it's all done (probably the day before I take them all down).

So much work, but I do love it. It's the most wonderful time of the year... :)

Mom didn't really put up much decorations. I encouraged her to at least put up the tree since it has a lot of handmade ornaments, but she decided she'd rather not go through the trouble (she has a light fixture in the corner now that she has up year round that she calls her Christmas tree, so that'll have to do). However, I'm more than making up for it with the sheer candle power I've got all over the house - lights everywhere, and more going up all the time! Dad would be so proud. :D

Snow Shitting Tree
One of my more fond memories is of seeing the tree for the first time. Tiny bursts of snow pellets would occassionally drop out of the angels ass, sort of like anal leakage. When I pointed this out to Alan, he said, "She just needs a swift kick." He then proceeded to slam his nasty hoof into the base of the tree contraption, and a whole lotta snow pellets just came flying out the angel's ass. Sort of like a snow pellet enema. All I remember is cackling like an idiot for an awfully long time.

Re: Snow Shitting Tree
You were, of course, the one to re-name it "The angel that shits snow." My mother still giggles a bit when I call it that. (To quote, "Oh stop that!")
