Hey you WoWers...

OK, now that I'm actually playing the game, if you're on WoW, let me know which server you're on and what your name is so I can find you. I have one Night Elf hunter on Dalaran right now, but I'm curious as to the other races, so if I have someone to play with (and ask stupid questions of), all the better. :)

Cheebah on Hyjal, guild: Purity of Essence

I hear they opened up character creation on Hyjal again.

Huh. I just finished telling him that they were closed. Don't know, but husband told me so. Of course, he could just be a lying bastard.

Hyjal I *think* is open. I'm a Horde druid there.

My husband Dave has about 8 characters there, all not-Horde. Gingy is his main, a girl something level 60. He's also got Jimijam, Critterbug, Crimea River, Layon McDuff, and a few more.

Dave's on Hyjal, but they're not letting in any girlie men. I mean it's closed, period, but also to girlie men. :P

There are quite a few LJers on Garona, horde side. There's wow_dorks to look at, plus www.twodollarhorde.org. :D

Ok, that came out wrong. Try wow_d0rks.

Yes. Horde-side, Garona. A guild that's mentioned on the first page of the longest-running "Best Guild Names" thread on WoW General. And you can play with people you already know and love!

We want YOU to join Two Dollar Horde! It's Uncle Sam approved!

And since you want names:

Me: Yukionne or Laverna are the two characters I play the most right now.
Demo: Unholly or Clo
Patrick (my husband): Gibletsian or Rovdjur
Flyp: Jawnkophi
Biquet: Pallor
Hama: Eurmauham

And a whole host of others, but those are the ones I know you know or know of.

Okay, I'm curious: why all the hard names to type? I try to keep mind simple for purposes of chat and identification, but I see a LOT of long names like that and have wondered why.
Mar. 7th, 2006 12:28 am (UTC)
Mine are typically goddesses of some sort.

My husband wanted Giblets, but it was taken. Rovdjur is Swedish for something or other. I have no clue where Jawnkophi came from. Eurmauham = your mom.

Most of the time they're shortened--Yuki, Gibs, Rov, Jawn...we just call Eurmauham Hama.

muther fucker! Get thee back to COH! I'm striving to unlock the kheldians on justice. Got a blaster at 17 presently. Kevin has abandoned me for D&D online, and my friend from Canada is MIA. I'm all alone now.

I tried to stay involved in CoH but I just gave up. It's all instanced content and a bunch of inactive buildings and shooting, which wouldn't necessarily be a big problem if it weren't for the fact that, once I got up to the high 20's in level, it took a week to level up!

I'm playing mostly on Elune: Hoard Reld and Nosloc, Alliance Divar. I also have Stormsong Alliance Sral. Yes, I'm not very creative with my names. I'm focused on Reld and Sral with the others for breaks.

Or if we have consensus I'll build one new character on a new server and give you one evening a week... we can create a Friends of esprix guild.
Mar. 6th, 2006 02:39 pm (UTC)
D'oh, should have said I would enjoy playing with friends and would do it one night a week because I'm making sure I don't yeild to the WoW addiction.. or yeild too much..

Yay! Someone actually started on a server I'm already on! I've filled my character list on Dalaran, but the ones I usually play are either Azarath (36 gnome mage) or Siane (41 NE hunter). I've got you friended, so if I see you online, I'll poke you.

Apparently, shaunskywalker has convinced ashoemaker and cplpunishment to dump some time into Sen'jin on Alliance characters there, but I don't know all of the names..... I think it's rapidly proven pointless for me to try and start a character with you all, so I will just wait until you're in your 30's or so and power-level something up to catch you.....
Mar. 7th, 2006 08:21 pm (UTC)
Actually, shaunskywalker has a new plan, to get us all to sign up on Proudmore where there's an active gay guild and where a number of other people we know play. He just started a new character there, so maybe this would be a good time for all of us to get together. Of course, jsciv could still easily outlevel us all if he put his mind to it. :)
Mar. 8th, 2006 03:53 am (UTC)
Ooo, ok! I've been wanting to play a new character anyway. Any tips on what I should create?
Mar. 10th, 2006 04:47 pm (UTC)
If you want to get *technical* about it, it was Dale Everett and Scott Tatum who convinced ME to join Stonewall Champions on Proudmoore (because I didn't know anybody on Sen'jin). At the moment, we're all in the mid-teens and are leveling together. The SC guild is the nicest group of online players I've ever met and they've been really generous (in fact, one of them, a 50-something level, spent the evening helping us powerlevel through Westfall the other day). So I think this was a good idea. :)
