It's the same as the reason for all your other differences
You're OLD and he's young!

With age comes taste, evidently. :P

I'm Canadian, and technically it may be illegal for me to dislike Shania Twain.

Doesn't stop me, though.

That may just be a local by-law in Windsor, where she was born, and Sudbury, where she was raised. And before you ask how I know where she was born, it's another Canadian thing. Like knowing about Celine Dion, Lorne Greene and William Shatner.

if it helps, I loathe Shania Twain myself.

Oddly, I usually prefer Canadian imports. Hmmm.

Stick to Rush, The Arrogant Worms, and Barenaked Ladies. You'll be much happier.

While I do own a Shania cd I don't care for the Spice Girls. Everyone has their own thing, at least you two can work it out. I once dumped a man for insulting Kate Bush.

On Canadians: I know another Canadian who dislikes Ms. Twain, but he's an ex-pat living in Massachusetts... so maybe he's covered under a sub-clause.

I'm sure it's covered under the Geneva Conventions or something.

But, but ... at least the dance versions of Shania's songs are so much fun! Perhaps I haven't completely shaken free of being raised on John Denver and Kenny Rogers music, so I can still enjoy a bit of country twang.

*hangs head in shame*

I don't worship the Spice Girls, but they can be light entertainment. It was great fun to see one of them live -- Geri Halliwell -- singing her version of "It's Raining Men" in a gay dance club in London.

Oh, don't get me wrong - I LOVE country music. Just don't like Shania so much, even though I once competed while dancing to "Any Man of Mine," but it was my dance partner's choice, not mine.

Leanne Rhymes also gives me gas. She sounds like she's yodelling. Blah.

And I did hear Geri's version of "It's Raining Men," and I found it to be lacking any kind of soul whatsoever. Never heard a more flat rendition of such an upbeat song.

I like Mel C. I saw her in concert in Montreal a few years ago. The others girls are OK.

How about Kylie? you have to like Kylie

Um, no, not really. :P

(I know, you of all people will probably never talk to me for saying such things, but then again I think you and Q will get along way too well!)

How can you be gay and not like Kylie? :-(

It's like not liking Madonna.

That does it I'm un-fiending you and I'm adding "Q";-)

Just kidding :-)
