New development

OK, so my boss just asked if we could come in at lunchtime on Wednesday instead of 2:00 because of "that whole 'infringing on working hours' thing," which in non-UCSD speak looks like they are planning something for Wednesday, but she wants to do it at a more appropriate time that doesn't soak up too much work time per University guidelines (i.e., very beginning or very end of the day, or during lunchtime).

So I guess we're having something after all. She still hasn't formally said as such, and it's not clear if it's a "just the team" thing or for the whole office.

I suppose I should just ask. I feel awkward doing so, though. Argh.

Nah. Don't ask. If they're going to this much trouble to keep you in the dark (and making you feel so very *loved* in the process! :{ ), they probably have a group send-off planned and won't want to ruin the surprise. Now, remember: Look surprised! :>
