Friday was a very busy day at work, but I got a lot accomplished, including setting up a complete round of interviews for 5 candidates and 3 interviewers for Monday morning - not half bad. After work, however, I did one of my semi-traditional "I'll just lay down for 5 minutes" 3-hour naps. :)
Saturday I was up and out early to hit the Conjecture all-hands staff meeting up in Ramona (farther than I thought, but a pleasant drive). I wanted to head up not only to finally see
Good, productive meeting, although there is now a pool for exactly what time I will show up to hang artwork on Friday morning. (I hateses them all I do.) Grabbed a hot dog off the grill, and then drove
Then it was off to tea with the boys, which turned out to be just a boy, namely the current president of LYC. We took the opportunity to gripe about LYC politics, and he vented about how frustrating it is to run this little group of ours sometimes. I, having run it for 3+ years, was the only one who could understand him. Heh. :)
There was a pot luck afterwards, but I skipped because my War husband Celeb called and said he was in town for the weekend since he couldn't get to New Orleans as planned, so him, me and
Sunday was also full of sloth - got up late, puttered around on the computer, t'was a bum. I wanted to start getting some packing done, but ended up getting other things done, so it all worked out. Still have much laundry to do as well.
Quincy spent his weekend carousing in DC with his local barkada and his fag hag from NY, and from all reports had a really great time, which is good 'cause he deserves it. We're waiting to hear this week if they approve his leave for October, which means a trip to the Philippines, Guam, Sacramento, and San Diego. He's actively house hunting (his uncle found a couple of places in Lusby, which is just north of where Q is living now), and this week he's actually going to apply for a mortgage! Yikes! We're really doing this! :D Had a little, um, "intense discussion" about actually including me in the decision process, even though we're planning on the house being only in his name, but since I'm going to be paying half the mortgage it's still going to be our house. It's all good, though - he's still only looking, and we can talk about stuff face to face this weekend.
Oh, yeah - GOING TO SEE QUINCY THIS WEEKEND! W000T! Nothing else planned, so otherwise shouldn't be a stressful week.
