Saturday - Hal dropped me off at Baycon, worked the fan table, networked with a bunch of folks. Me, Adam, Rick (?) and Hal went and got food for the party, dropped off Rick, then had dinner at Hal's favorite Chinese restaurant in San Jose. Came back, did the joint Conjecture/Gaylaxicon San Diego fandom party, fairly well attended. Tycho was flirting, met up with him later just in time to watch his roommate slip into a catatonic state and ship him off in an ambulance (I slept alone).
Sunday - Worked the fan table, left at 4:00 with Hal to San Francisco, danced at the hoedown he was DJing. Joey came by and picked me up, went to the Castro, did a Thai dinner. We met up with Doug, did dessert at Sweet Temptations, then went to N'Touch, where I turned to Doug and said, "Kill me now, 'cause this is the closest I'll ever get to heaven" - wall-to-wall HOT Asian men, and it was wet underwear contest night. Partied to all hours, stayed with Doug.
Monday - Doug took me to Union Square and Fisherman's Wharf, drove past Lombard, grabbed lunch with Joey at Dolores Park, then Joey drove me to the airport in San Jose, flew home, Yudi picked me up.
Much fun! I love SF and can see why people fall in love with it. Very charming, and I hope to go back often.
Now, this past week and weekend:
Tuesday & Wednesday AMB was out, and although I tried to catch up on some work, I only got a limited amount done.
Friday I bought my new laptop, Sophia (after Sophia Loren, the only woman ever to arouse me), then went with Myke and John and Yudi to see "Finding Nemo," which was literally laugh-out-loud funny.
Yesterday I did my Pride Guides schtick at Rainbow Graduation (they gave me a gift for all my hard work on the program - namely a hula guy bobble), went to a Gaylaxicon staff meeting and did some programming brainstorming. Afterwards Chris, Yudi and I went to Bourbon Street, where some pushy ex-Marine hit on Yudi in a bad way.
Today was a day of rest - I slept in, and finally got around to playing CE online, which was pretty good (I still prefer the live game, though).
Tomorrow our new Assistant DOD starts, so should be interesting getting her up and running before AMB is out again Thursday, Friday and Monday. After work I need to clean the guest room, and at some point I have dates with Arnie and Joseph this week (at least - I have some other folks lined up as well, but we'll see how they pan out).
