Worst. Boyfriend. EVER.

The ONE DAY I leave my cell phone at home by accident is the day he calls. Twice.

So he's not in Tall 'Afar at all - he's in Al Kafik, and I have no idea if that's better or worse.

I hate my life right now.

Many hugs. Just hang in there and superglue that phone to your ear please. Sending prayers to varied deities for both of you.

His cell phone is useless over there, but I'll post his address in the Yahoo Group for you guys. Thanks! Hope your holiday is relaxing!

You guys are just going to have to deal with the fact that it's going to be very difficult to communicate while he's away, and not get depressed or stressed about it. Batteries die, memory fails, mail gets lost, it's the human condition. Instead of stressing about the missed opportunities, rejoice at the completed ones. Otherwise you'll drive yourself batty.

Driving yourself batty?
"Instead of stressing about the missed opportunities, rejoice at the completed ones. Otherwise you'll drive yourself batty."

I've been following this journal mostly because the name was taken when I tried to get it and I wanted to see who it belongs to. It's been wonderfully voyeuristic and usually fun. Like a window to another's life, and when I look into the links of others who post to this one I learn about THEIR lives, too, which is what led me to finally post/reply.

In all honesty, it seems that the person who could MOST benefit from the whole of the advice you offered to Esprix is YOU, yourself. The twists and turns and angst that you put yourself through over what is clearly VERY SMALL STUFF! Anxiety over a gyro sandwich?, inability to enjoy the pride festival because you don't like how you look wearing spandex and tanning oil? Going crazy over conventions that are supposed to be fun? It's seemingly endless... Don't you deserve to rejoice, too? You have a decent salary, anew car, a wonderful home, an adoring partner who seems to think the sun rises and sets on you, and good, loyal friends.

You could really benefit HUGELY by taking your own advice. Stop driving yourself batty and learn to rejoice in the million good things going on in your life!

Okay, what does this fool know about this shit. Sweet Myke lives under the same fuckin' roof as he does so of course he doesn't know how you feel when Quincy's gone for who knows how long. You fuckin' loved him and missed him like crazy, so is that a crime? Anyways, hang in there sweetie. He'll call you or via e-mail/write letters to you soon. FANITO!!

Thankfully I didn't miss him yesterday (see my next entry), and yes, I'm hoping we can set up a regular call time (Fridays), but it's hard with an 11-hour time difference and such. I mean, my phone rang this morning while I was in the shower, and Daniel yelled in to me but what could I do? Fortunately it wasn't him, but I thought that would be just like him to call the 15 minutes a day I'm really not available! :D
