A lovely afternoon

Not only did I have a lovely lunch today with Dr. Christopher, who I haven't seen since my birthday (he got a new job nearby - yay!), but I just got two of my favorite prints mounted so I can finally frame them. w00t!

Edited to add: Those would be "Invictus" and this one (careful, he's nude! [but tasteful]).

Yeah, "tasteful nude" to me means no naughty bits showing. Not that I find the print tasteless, but that the term holds a certain connotation.

That would be full frontal nudity (tastefully shown, maybe).

I'm curious, what did the frame shop say?

No problems. minotaurs recommended them to me for some of his photography, and his stuff is pr0n, whereas mine is art.

Ahh... very cool.

I have a lot of artwork that needs to be framed but no wall space for it - problem with living with parents. Even in my own room I have to censor.

Censoring is not a problem (no doubt all of my roommates would approve of more male nudity), but actually getting them onto the wall is problematic, for a number of reasons. These, however, I think are going up one way or t'other.

I figure I'll have to get a large apartment or house one day... to hold all my stuff (most of which is at my sister's house). Of course, by then I'll be paying for the rent/morgage with my social security.

I'm not expecting to have a lot of wall space, either, but I'll make do with what I have, even if it's floor to ceiling! :D

Even if they don't go up in this house, at least they are framed and ready for the next house.

Ain't he, tho? He's the first print I got (several years ago) that started me on my "winged man" collection.

Nice! And always great to see Ruth Thompson's art (as somehow we talked her into being a guest at our small local scifi con for a number of years).

She's awesome. I actually found her first at Pennsic, although I've seen her artwork at many cons since.
