Gonna be a looooooong night...

Quincy leaves for Georgia early in the morning, so I'm staying up way late tonight to be able to talk to him when he gets up, before he leaves, as he gets on the plane, etc. Not sure when I'll be able to talk to him next, so gotta make every opportunity count from here on in. Also debuting the new icon I'll use when I'm posting about him. :)

So, having nothing better to do at the moment, I figured it would be a good time to update on the last few days. :)

I have no clue what I did Friday night, except that I didn't go to Gallifrey. Oh well. At least nolly got the autographs I wanted. Saturday I slept in (as usual), went to LYC tea and dinner, and afterwards created my first character, Giganticus, on City of Heroes.

Then Sunday I played CoH for 15 hours. :)

Monday I had off for the holiday but I broke away from the computer long enough to go have a quick dinner with Wyatt, Kevin and Bill, and then go see Constantine with SDQSF. I rather enjoyed it, mostly because I seem to have a thing for those God/Devil, angel/demon movies, especially if they involve the archangel Gabriel. Along those lines I also liked The Prophecy with Christopher Walken as a pissed off Gabriel and an at the time no-name Viggo Mortensen as Lucifer. I think I should add both these movies to my collection.

So Tuesday was back to work, and it's been fairly productive all week. After work I got a couple more hours of CoH in, but it seems pretty clear that I should get my own gaming computer. I suppose between my tax refund, not flying to see Quincy for 6 months and some money I got from Mom for Christmas I should be able to get one soon. Yay!

Wednesday night was gaming, of course. Played a new game thomasm bought, Kung Fu Fighting, which although it took longer to play than we expected I kind of liked it, so we'll see if we play it again. We also finally played Atmosfear, a very silly board game you play with a DVD running concurrently, where the Gatekeeper gives you random instructions and you have 49 minutes for someone to win the game or everyone loses. It was a hoot! Very dorky and lame and such, and you had to move fast in order to win, so it kept us going for a bit. :)

Thursday night I was just so tired after work that I crashed for a few hours, got up, had a sandwich, watched In The Beginning from my Babylon 5 movie collection, and went back to sleep.

Friday I basically vegged, watched TV, did some laundry, and stayed up too late.

Today I slept in, had breakfast, went to tea but no one ended up going out to dinner, stopped off at Wal*Mart for some organizing supplies and Vons for some food, and spent a little time doing laundry and cleaning my bathroom.

This week should be interesting. Gonna be on pins and needles waiting to hear how things are going for Quincy today, so I plan on just trying to relax. Monday night I have a hair appointment1, Tuesday is my ex, Giang's, birthday so I'll probably give him a call (haven't talked to him since my dad died), payday and gaming on Wednesday, Daniel asked me to go to Disneyland on Thursday so I might be {koff koff} "sick" (my boss is out anyway), and then Saturday galtine1 is having a PartyLite and other at-home product demos party for the day, so I may head out there and game when they're doing girly things I wouldn't be interested in.2

Oh, and someone remind me to get the "v" key fixed on my laptop. It's sticking and it's driving me bonkers. >.<

1Since Q is going to be gone for six months I'm getting blond highlights again - yay! He hates it when I do that, but then I'm always bugging him that I like him with shorter hair (which he has now, but only because he had to for deployment, so at least one good thing came out of it). I'll just be sure that it's all grown out and cut for his homecoming. :)

2Ha! As if any girly thing wouldn't interest me. :D

Fix the 'v' key on your laptop. You *know* how much it bugs you.

We should probably work out a schedule for using the gaming computer, especially for CoH. I think once we each know the nights the computer will be available, we'll all be a bit happier. When you're ready for a new gaming computer of your own, though, I'd be happy to help pick one out or assmble one for/with you.

JOhn.

I had actually seen a game played (I came in in the middle of it) when it was on VHS and it looked so dorky I just had to get it when it came out on DVD. :D

All three Prophesy movies are actually pretty worthwhile.

Hard to believe, I know, but there you have it.

Keen! I'm glad I'm not the only one who likes them. (Of course, I liked Millennium, so there's no accounting for taste.)
