Hello from Maryland!

Having fun so far. :)

Went to bed around 11 Friday night, then up at 5 to catch the Cloud 9 shuttle (which was early, but I was on time). I was the only passenger, so I ended up getting there at like 5:30, about 20 minutes earlier than I'd expected. Flight was fine (no one in the middle seat - score!), although they warned us they had no catering and to go buy something in the airport, but I'd had a yummy egg, cheese and bacon bagel, so I was set. My connection in Pittsburgh was even odder - they told us we had to pee before the flight because it was short we had to be seated the whole time. The plane also only had like maybe 20 people on it, so it was nice (I wish I'd had that for the longer flight!). We landed a few minutes early, just before 5.

Quincy had gotten in a little late around 4, so he and Darwin were still on their way to pick me up. We popped into Dupont Circle, met up with urban_bohemian and his date (?) to chat for a few, then headed off to Tomate for a lovely Italian dinner. Then it was back to Lexington Park.

Yesterday we were going to have brunch at a little restaurant in Solomons Island but turns out they were renovating, so we went to Bob Evans instead. Afterwards we went shopping at the Lexington Park trifecta - Target, K-Mart and Wal*Mart. :)

Afterwards we went to Annapolis to attend Sunday evening services at MCC of the Chesapeake. They used to have morning services in St. Mary's County but lack of attendance and funding made them cancel those, so most of the people Q had met before now go to Annapolis. It was a lovely little Quaker fellowship (just past the Unitarian church and a big Catholic church, which is where we thought the services were at first), the minister was a very nice guy, and everybody was really welcoming and very happy to see Q again. Afterwards we had dinner at Chili's with a nice couple that live close to Q, Greg and John (who is also Navy). We really had a great time, and it's nice to know Q has a little spiritual community to connect with. After we got home we watched Garfield which was a cute.

So today he went to the gym while I slept in, and now we're getting ready to go to Waldorf to do some shopping and maybe watch a movie. This week we're planning on heading up to see Mom and my friends on Wednesday, hang out with the MCC crowd down here on Thursday night, and go to Medieval Times on Friday - woo!

Oh, and adventdragon had two interviews this week, and they both went well and would be a welcome change to what he's doing now, so wish him luck! :)

I'll update when I can. Ciao!

Well I thought it was just a friend but when you reacted the way you did when I asked about all your dates I thought maybe it was a date after all. :P

So far, Dave's schedule for Thursday is wide open. That could change with a phone call, though, so you may have to be content with just me. And Jimmy.

Okay, now I know I need more sleep... I read this as "MCC of the Cheapskate". ;)

Say hi to Q for me (assuming he remembers who I am :P ).
