I think the funny thing is that every year it floods through there, not always as bad but it still floods. They have done nothing about it. (just ignore it, it will go away)

lol i was there yesterday, waiting for the bus. people were fording the water barefooted! they're just asking for athlete's foot

Wading through river water? GAH! Fools. They'll end up with malaria or typhoid more like it!

Actually in the Philippines, we had to worry more about Leptospirosis, which is a micro-organism found in rat feces, which may transmitted to humans through skin or open wounds, most commonly found in flood water.

4 years of med school was not wasted.

You call that flooding? Oh please! back in the Philippines we had water go up to our waist, and that was just crossing the street to get into the school!
