More things I shouldn't do...

I know I've mentioned this before, but really, I shouldn't go shopping at Illuminations.

Especially when they're having a post-Christmas 50% off sale.

Especially when for once they didn't sell out of the thing I've coveted for about four years.

Especially when I have Christmas money to spend.

So, um, in other, totally unrelated news, Quincy and I have a beautiful wrought iron votive Christmas tree for next year! :D

Edited to add: Here's a pic of it.

Such a girl. ;)

And yes, it's very pretty, although I can't seem to find a picture of it online. It's about 5 feet tall, black, and has I think 19 votive cups all around. Wrapped with greens it really does look like a beautiful Christmas tree. I can't wait!

Hmm, maybe I should look for a hearth/fireplace candlabra there...

I found a nice one at Bed, Bath & Beyond, actually. Illuminations has great stuff (better decorative stuff than Yankee Candle any day), but some of it is kind of expensive.

You'd do good with it. You'd have an entirely gay clientele. :D

Note to Santa: Find an attractive fire extinguisher for Alan and Quincy. (must be decorative; Holiday festive colors optional)

Oh, and if you want to find us a REALLY attractive fire extinguisher, I'm sure we could pick someone out from the fire department that Q and I could both agree on... ;)

OMG those are beautiful
i think ineed to attack some birch trees

And well one could always just decoupage some christmas scenes on the fire extinguisher to make a nice gift i think

Those birch ones are nice. If you carved out a hold in a trunk to put a votive holder in I think that would look beautiful. I also have some hunks of crystals (quartz, rose quartz, saw an amethyst once) that have holes drilled in them to put a tealight into - those are BEAUTIFUL when you light them up.

I'm such a candle whore.

True - those stone ones would be perfect for you. I actually saw one in an airport gift shop over the holidays - weird. The ones I got were from Rehoboth Beach in Delaware and New Hope (of course) in Pennsylvania.

You would LOVE LOVE LOVE New Hope. If you ever get the chance, or the next time you're in Philly for AC, GO GO GO. It's a little artist's heaven.
