Today's important updates

  1. Yesterday my whole team went out for a holiday lunch - to a Mexican restaurant. Merry Christmas! Ay arriba, y arriba!

  2. This morning my co-worker gave me a gorgeous blue scarf that she knitted herself for Christmas. It even matches my heavy coat I'll be wearing home next week. Yay!

  3. I am domestic - I fixed a leaky faucet last night. Go me.

  4. My boss has given me actual work to do today. Drat. I'd hoped for a nice quiet week. At least she's out tomorrow and Friday, then I'm out starting next Wednesday.

No, studs are in the walls - I had to deal with screws.

Does that mean I'm screwy?

Wait, don't answer that... ;)

It means you're butch....

... oh, wait: you just used the word "faboo". So much for that theory...

Feliz Navidad. Sheesh.

So, how are the slippers holding up? ;)

Slippers (and scarf) are faboo. My coworker used a really snuggly yarn and a wide stitch, and it's just too too. :) I'll take pictures at some point if you like.

Well, you know, being a yarn slut and all I'd love to see it.

Who knows? It may give me ideas. Not that I need another scarf.

I'm sure they're the easiest of all things to knit.

You've never seen the one my ex tried to knit for me. He didn't know how to finish the ends, so it curls up like a woolen tube...

The matching toque, on the other hand, is wonderful, even though my mother hates it.

Indeed. First time doing such, too, although I felt like Dad was looking over my shoulder (yelling at me, of course, but that was his way).

3... this is not "domestic". Domestic would have been to knit a lovely seasonal cozy for the faucet.

This was "Handy."
