Outrage of the day

OK, so the Washington Post will run an anti-gay "advertisement supplement" using junk science, homophobic rhetoric and Paul cameron as an expert (which you can see here), but CBS and NBC won't run an inclusive, tolerant commercial ad for the United Church of Christ because it says it welcomes the LGBT community and they think that's "controvertial" (which you can see here)?

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot?

Thanks, sistercoyote for today's outrage. ;) (You sure know how to pick 'em, don'tcha? hee hee!)

Comforting the disturbed, and disturbing the comfortable, that's my job.

What? You try living with Coyote, see what it does to you.

There's so much bullshit in the first article of that "magazine" that I can smell it from Toronto. As soon as I saw the bit about how we shouldn't be protected because we can't reproduce, I had to laugh. Tell that to my friend Ken, whose father was gay, and who is gay himself (as is his cousin Paul).

Isn't it interesting how organizations of this nature see themselves as "balanced"? I wonder how they would react if someone were to send them a pro-same-sex-marriage article written from a religious POV...

Thankfully they're getting a LOT of flak for letting it run, but they're stupidly standing behind it. What maroons.

Thankfully at least ABC is, too (which is surprising, as I figured they'd be the "family channel" and would balk the loudest).

Naw, ABC is owned by Disney, and Disney knows how good the gays have been to them..... :/
