Forgot to mention that Thursday whilst doing laundry I saw our rat in the garage. Oddly enough at that exact same moment that 14 year old girl screamed again. I swear if I ever find her I'm going to smack her for scaring me half to death with that high-pitched scream of hers! Honestly...

Yeah little kids freak me out too
I have some little screamers next door and as gay as i am Those screams really spark my parenting instincts because they are THAT bloodcurdling and i keep checking to see if a T-Rex is eating them. I think the day it is i will just giggle and offer garlic salt

Oh rats are so cute aren't they
much better than kids

I know, and she sounded like she was right in the garage there with me. Eerie. Almost like I made the sound myself!

Not that a rat would ever scare me like that. Nope. No way. Nuh-uh.

I know! Like the rat didn't scare me enough, I need some little 14-year-old screaming her fool head off. I wonder if she was afraid of the rat, too? And my roommates heard her, too. ;)

Do you remember my postage-stamp sized kitchen in Philly? One day I was in it and one of those icky house centipedes scuttled out from the back wall to the front of the counter. I screamed and jumped back as far as the space would let me - about 2 feet. Not nearly far enough. *shudder*
