Ol' Four Eyes, Pt. 2

So, anyone out there with a camera phone want to help a brother out? I think it's the only reasonable way to make sure Quincy approves ('cause you know if I pick out the wrong frames I'll never hear the end of it!). :D

And for the record, it's not "my boyfriend needs to approve anything I do," it's that I think he has very good taste in fashion, and it's remarkably clear that I don't, so since he's also my partner it seems logical that he'd be my #1 choice for helping me decide. If I really needed his approval for everything I wouldn't still have my big clunky sneakers anymore, would I?

So bite my shiny metal ass, you Star Wars geek.

Rationalization, party of one? Quincy may have acceptible taste in fashion ("ugly shirt" donned at dinner party excluded I would think. And note his choice in fashion is quite different from yours), but they're just frames. I know for a fact that you're not all that fashion inept. My state of irkedness derives from you wanting to get this taken care of, and it can be done by yourself, but you choose to halt everything until your "partner" can provide his yay/nay (which is presently hard to obtain). I'm not saying you feel he has to approve of EVERYTHING you do. Just in this particular instance it rings rediculous to me. That's why I say you're catering to this because it's cute to you, and comforting in the sense it bonds you and Quincy that much more while so far apart because you made a decision together. (that whole "partner" thing again) Could indicate an insecurity issue for you, but that's an analyzation for another time. I'm just sayin.

Why are you reading so much into my relationship? Doofus. You say insecurity, I say doing something important that involves my partner (note no quotation marks, thankyouverymuch). Yes it means more that he's 3,000 miles away - little things like this go a long way towards making us continue to feel connected.

Oh, and also for the record, he asked to be in on the decision.

Gee, between this and what I eat for dinner, I'm amazed at how fascinating you find my habits.

Goon.

Considering I'm exposed to you and your life on a daily basis you shouldn't find this shocking. Considering I'm closer to you than most, you shouldn't find it surprising why I react the way I do. I'm beyond the typical responses of "awww that's so sweet", and/or "that's so cute" I see things differently.

And for the record your eating habits are just points of humor for me. Eat your chicken tenders for god sake.

Although I realize it causes you physical pain to say such things, sometimes, "Aw, isn't that sweet?" is appropriate, 'cause that's really all it's meant to be - sweet. Reading so much doom, gloom, insecurity, whippedness and general relationship badness into such things (and that includes the whole "trophy boyfriend" thing) may be your pervue, but that doesn't mean you're right.

Food for thought.
