What TV Series Would You Buy?

I was thinking about some of the TV series I've started collecting on DVD and it reminded me of this old thread over at the Dope I started a long time ago. My list was as follows:

  • Babylon 5
  • Family Guy
  • Greg the Bunny
  • The Tick
  • Earth: Final Conflict
  • South Park
  • Farscape
  • Invader Zim
I could also add these in upon further reflection:

  • all the James Bond films
  • Blackadder
  • The Muppet Show
  • Monty Python's Flying Circus
  • Dr. Who
  • The Mighty Heroes
  • Absolutely Fabulous
  • TV Funhouse
It also got me thinking about some of the shows I watch now, although I don't think I'd want to actually collect them:

  • Airline
  • Family Plots
  • The Fairly Oddparents
  • Jimmy Neutron
  • Jiminy Glick
Just some interesting musings on my television watching habits. What show do you guys watch and/or collect?

Keen. I do enjoy series like Futurama, but like The Simpsons once you start collecting there's a lot to collect - blah. I tend towards shorter-run series like B5 and Farscape - I appreciate them more and I don't have to spend as much money.

That said, I'd love to get Futurama, Hitchhiker's, Red Dwarf, and Tales of the City. :)

Oh I used to watch quite a few Britcoms way back when on PBS - Good Neighbours, To The Manor Born, The Young Ones, Fawlty Towers. Good stuff!

I'm not a huge DVD/VCR fan. I was for a while, but now, once I've seen it I'm usually okay with being done. I barely have enough time to watch the backlog on TiVo, much less revisit other things... Now, I do have movies on DVD, a modest collection, but that's not quite the same thing.

The three exceptions are From the Earth to the Moon (which is really a miniseries, and thus almost a movie), Stargate SG-1 and Sex and the City. I'm not sure what that says about me. :)
