What's on your bedside table? My table is actually a wall of shelves for a headboard. On the bottom shelf is my sound machine, two alarm clocks (just got a new one and testing it out), a lamp, several candles, a coaster, a notepad, tissues, hand lotion, and my porn collection (those last three are unrelated - really!). Above that are books, stuffed animals, pictures, baskets, etc.
What's the geekiest part of your music collection? If you're talking geek stuff I own a Babylon 5 and two Star Trek: The Next Generation CDs, plus a couple of sound effects CDs. If you're talking dorky stuff I own a couple of Celine Dion, Barbra Streisand and Johnny Mathis CDs (still need to pick up Barry Manilow, Melissa Manchester, Sheena Easton and Manhattan Transfer at that).
What do you eat when you raid the fridge at night? I get this weird cake and milk craving late at night, especially after I've gone dancing. I used to stop at Wawa and get a chocolate milk and donuts or a Tastykake Koffeekake.
What is your secret guaranteed weeping film?Longtime Companion or It's My Party, although I cried the most watching Big Fish.
If you could have plastic surgery, what would you have done? Mostly minor things, but definitely dental work.
Do you have a completely irrational fear? A bit claustrophobic, and slightly wary around scorpions.
What is the little physical habit that gives away your insecure moments? Silence.
Do you ever have to beg? No - usually asking suffices.
Do you have too many love interests? Just one. :D
Do you know anyone famous? Author David Gerrold, artist Joe Phillips, and actress Virginia Hey, who coincidentally were my GoHs at Gaylaxicon. :) Otherwise my friend Bill is a writer for The West Wing and I know a couple of the cast and staff of Hidden Frontier, but other than that they were just brushes.
Describe your bed. Queen-sized and not big enough! Currently in a rumpled state, but given that Quincy was in town this weekend that shouldn't be surprising. I rotate between sand-colored, navy blue and khaki green sheets and need to pick up maroon and dark tan or brown ones, and I use two cotton throws plus a blue plaid comforter when needed (plus my two pillows).
Spontaneous or plan? I plan most stuff, but am happy to be spontaneous when necessary.
Who should play you in a movie about your life? Alec Mapa, but since he's Filipino I'll say Sean Hayes
Do you know how to play poker? I learned a long time ago and could probably pick it up again, but I'm sure I'd be lousy at it.
What do you carry with you at all times? My bag, which contains everything valuable - wallet, keys, checkbook, Visor, cell phone, etc.
How do you drive? A bit aggressive, and sometimes I yell at other people through my windshield, but I think I'm a good driver.
What do you miss most about being little? Getting to play all day.
Are you happy with your given name? Yes (even though I'm known by a variety of other ones).
What color is your bedroom? A sand color with chocolate brown trim (all of which I painted myself).
What was the last song to which you were listening? A snippet of "Sledgehammer" by Peter Gabriel on a radio talk show; last entire song was something off Madonna's "Immaculate Collection" since Q was in a Madonna mood last night as we were driving home.
Have you ever been in a school play? Quite a few. I started as the father of the bride in a "Tom Thumb wedding" in kindergarten, then moved on to the villain in grade school. I got into more in high school when they started a drama club in my junior year, including Perchik in Fiddler On The Roof and several parts in a "best of Broadway" show my senior year (including singing "Maria" from West Side Story and "I Am I, Don Quixote" from Man of La Mancha). Then it was The Jester in Once Upon A Mattress in college, and my turn in community theater (mostly Drama Ink). So, yeah, I'm a ham.
Have you ever been in love? 3 times, and quite happy this one is sticking!
Do you like yourself and believe in yourself? Yes and yes.
Have you ever done any illegal drugs? Yes (pot and nitrus).
Do you think you're cute? Yes, but I know my limits.
Do you consider yourself a nice person? Yes.
Thanks, sistercoyote! I was bored at work and needed something somewhat mindless to do. ;)
