Busy busy busy!

Gak! Just took a look at my schedule for the next couple of weeks and I've got a lot going on:

  • 8/27 - haircut
  • 8/28 - LYC hike (as if I were actually going on it - HA!), the SDQSF BBQ at our house AND my first LYC coffee back from War (guess I'll be ducking out for a couple of hours)
  • 8/29 - LYC car wash AND Conjecture staff meeting (I can do a morning shift at the car wash and then skip out I suppose)
  • 9/4 - SeaWorld and Dave & Buster's for Daniel's birthday AND our first LYC coffee in the new location (I'll be a little late to dinner)
  • 9/9 - LYC EC meeting
  • 9/12 - LYC new member BBQ AND Conjecture staff meeting (will probably have to skip the staff meeting, alas)
  • 9/18 - San Diego fandom gathering at Darrel's and possibly a Conjecture staff meeting beforehand
  • 9/25 - LYC pot luck lunch harbor cruise
  • 10/1-3 - Conjecture
... and then my birthday, which I haven't even thought about yet. So many conflicting events! That's unusual for me. Plus at some point soon I need to get an eye exam, get more contacts, go to the dentist, pay my car registration, pay the vet, deal with Pennsic fallout... ugh!

Ah, well. At least I've had my vacation. Life's a little easier when you're well-rested. :)

Edited to add: His Excellency Baron Master Olaf John Lyttleton Lyttle John is coming to Anaheim for a conference and plans to be sick {cough cough} on either 9/25 or 9/26 so we can go to Disneyland, so I'm hoping we can do it on the 26th so I can go on the lunch cruise.

pay the vet

I still owe the vet from when we had to put Bart down. Seems they sent the bill (when they finally got around to sending it at all) to my mother when I told them to send it to me. Still need to straighten it all out. Ugh.

Ah, that is unfortunate.

Oh no!
I don't see WorldCon in there...

P.S.: Oh, well. 2006, more likely?

Re: Oh no!
No, too rich for my blood. The one Worldcon that came to my home town (Philcon in 2001) was the year I moved to San Diego. The only one I went to was ConJose in 2002 to launch G'con 2004. Frankly they don't thrill me that much anyway, so it would be a stretch for me to lay out the funds to do it. Thankfully the Boston Gaylaxians (GSFS) will be able to handle the G'con 2005 stuff, and we have a liaison for the Network handling that stuff. I need to save my money for Pennsic anyway. ;) But yeah, 2006 will be a big con year for me - I'll sure make it to LA since it'll be so close, and then Westercon here in SD.

Have fun without me!

Based on some of the landmines that went off in the encampment (and surrounding the Ball, for that matter), I wouldn't be surprised if some of them split an atom or two...

You're finally going to make it to DL? Yay!

I know, I'm so lame. I may even - GASP! - buy just a one-day pass! Oh, the horror!

Let me know what you end up deciding. I may be able to get a cast member to sign you in. No promises, though!

It'll probably be Sunday since I have the harbor cruise on Saturday. A CM sign-in would rock! Although I wouldn't be surprised if John treated me - he's a swell guy.

Oh, and I should add that you (and the new beau) would be welcome to join us. The more the merrier! I know he'd appreciate another DF to hang out with. :D
