Happy Friday!

So Wednesday after work we played Frag (which I think needs to go on my games wish list) whilst having a lovely baked pasta dinner (thanks, thomasmMyke!) and fresh-baked oatmeal chocolate chip cookies for dessert (thanks, minotaursStuart!). I left at 8:30 to head down to the Ken to watch Beautiful Boxer only to arrive to a notice that they never got the film so they were cancelling it and showing something else. BAH! At least it'll be released more widely in January, so maybe Hillcrest will pick it up. I hung out until 9:30 in case anyone showed up, and only Moti did (bleargh). So back home I went and played a few hands of Fluxx before Myke kicked everyone out er, I mean, everyone got tired and left. :) Oddly I hadn't heard from pinoyboytoyQuincy all day except one text in the morning, but I knew he was off to Waldorf getting his comics so I didn't think much of it.

Happy Veterans' Day! I celebrated by sleeping until 1. :D I got up, started doing laundry, did the dishes, watched some Star Trek and puttered around on the computer. I sent Q a text message and left him a voicemail but didn't hear from him all day, which was kind of disappointing, but I knew he had the day off, too, although I didn't know what his plans were. darkscydeDaniel had gone and picked up xiaomozi666Tri in the afternoon, so in the evening we decided to go to Best Buy and dinner. I finally got the first season of Farscape - yay! Afterwards we went to Mimi's but they were pretty busy so we ended up going to Black Angus for dinner. Tri was a little goofy during dinner but I chalked it up to lack of food (we were all starving), and of course I had to send back my steak again (no, actually, "well done" doesn't mean "still pink inside" you morons). Q finally called me around 8:30 and said he never got my messages, but that he had been in DC for the day and was too busy to call (never mind that he didn't call the night before, or that if I hadn't called him he'd be all over me about it). He was really tired so the conversation was short, which was also disappointing. Bah. Afterwards Tri and Daniel had a fight, at least in part because Daniel mocks me about talking about Quincy all the time. Oy.

So today it's back to work, but it's pretty quiet as half the office took the day off to have a 4-day weekend. Hopefully I'll at least get to leave on time if not early. Tonight we're going to Farrell's for dinner. Why? Because we'll all be saying...

Happy birthday thomasmMyke!

(I got him something keen and unexpected at Best Buy but won't say until after he's opened it!)

This weekend I'll get some more laundry done, and then Sunday night is the LYC pot luck.

And that's about it.

I Am A: Neutral Good Elf Bard Ranger

Neutral Good characters believe in the power of good above all else. They will work to make the world a better place, and will do whatever is necessary to bring that about, whether it goes for or against whatever is considered 'normal'.

Elves are the eldest of all races, although they are generally a bit smaller than humans. They are generally well-cultured, artistic, easy-going, and because of their long lives, unconcerned with day-to-day activities that other races frequently concern themselves with. Elves are, effectively, immortal, although they can be killed. After a thousand years or so, they simply pass on to the next plane of existance.

Primary Class:
Bards are the entertainers. They sing, dance, and play instruments to make other people happy, and, frequently, make money. They also tend to dabble in magic a bit.

Secondary Class:
Rangers are the defenders of nature and the elements. They are in tune with the Earth, and work to keep it safe and healthy.

Oghma is the Neutral Good god of knowledge and invention. He is also known as the Binder of What is Known, and is the Patron of Bards. His followers believe that knowledge reigns supreme, and is the basis for everything else that is done. They wear white shirts and pants, with a black and gold braided vest, and a small, box-like hat. All priests of Oghma are known as Loremasters. Oghma's symbol is a scroll.

Another birthday today

I am remiss in not having already said the following:

Happy birthday bescincimevsim!

He's only ::coughcough:: seventeen! ::coughcough:: (Dammit, now he's got me doing it!) Happy birthday to you, my new British foppish fey friend. (I thought it was yesterday - wasn't that when you had your party?) Quick, say something pithy with a cockney accent! Oh how we "Yanks" adore the likes of you and Oscar Wilde and such! ;)
