It rained off and on all day yesterday and into the night, and I guess into this morning as well. I enjoyed it so much. Last night I went upstairs, lit a candle, and just listened to it outside my window in the dark. Just wonderful.
I hear more is on the way, so I'm going to continue to enjoy it.
Crap. My boss just informed me that since she's temporarily overseeing part of another department while they look for a new director (who just quit to go work for the Humane Society - go Brian!) she wants me to start picking up some work that I never did for her before, and it's very specific work that I really, really, really don't like nor want to do. Blah. :(
Maybe it's time to start looking for a change of pace.
On the upside, it's mac and cheese for lunch - yum!
One bit of good news - my insurance company said they'd take back my contact lens reimbursement for the year so I can use the eyeglasses benefit instead. I wanted to do this while Q was in town, but I didn't realize at the time it was a one or the other option, and I'd save a LOT more money by getting the glasses benefit instead of the contacts (plus I can get the contacts reimbursement again next year).
Now the question is, who's going to come with me to pick out frames? Who has tastes equal to that of the Q-man?
I'm thinking Tri. He has mad style skillz. Plus he's Asian, which means Quincy has less to argue about if he doesn't like them. :P Or maybe I should take a whole team of Asian boys - Michael, Yudi, Frank, maybe some of the LYC bois. If these boys know how to work A/X I'm sure they can help me frame my face!
So, anyone out there with a camera phone want to help a brother out? I think it's the only reasonable way to make sure Quincy approves ('cause you know if I pick out the wrong frames I'll never hear the end of it!). :D
