The SCA Facebook group I moderate was attacked by people with a political agenda (regardless of the fact that we're in no way official and in no one affect policy). Caused us no end of strife.

However, it made me think of those people in the SCA that have to deal with that shit ALL THE TIME (i.e., the BoD), and I thought if that were me, I'd probably have been looking forward to when my term ended after yesterday. :)

In general, though, end dates on commitments are nice. I go through cycles of busy/not busy, so when they end I like to have the chance to take stock and decide if I want to re-commit or back off. I feel a cycle of commitment coming up, though - wish me luck. :D
