Enclosed kitty perches

Hey, my crazy cat friends - has anyone ever seen an *enclosed* cat window shelf? I want to leave my blinds down, but the cats will destroy them trying to get behind them to look outside. I basically want an open box that the cats can get in and out of to see outside but won't let people see directly into my place. Anything? I could certainly make it myself, but I figured I'd see if there was something already on the market. Help me, interwebs, you're my only hope!

nothing i know of on the net but it would be a nice product. as it is it would be easy to make from any box that your cats could sit in. perhaps a long narrow one. just take an exacto blade and cut out a huge window on one side of a cardboard box so that that faces the window. the rest of the box can be taped into place or bungeed or somesuch. you could spray paint it or cover it in some nice looking gift paper to make it not look like a big old cardboard box taped to your window. And of course you would want at least ONE side open so they can get in and out. though you could duct tape a piece of cardboard on it like a kitty swinging door too.

Yes - you are the first to get my concept. I'm thinking about constructing a simply U-shaped long wooden box that's open at both ends, and then add two shelf brackets for stability. It'll rest half on the sill and half hanging out, and the cats can get into it from either end. I may even line the inside with fleece to make it cozy for them.

This is the closest thing I've found so far, which is also nice because it has an outdoor element, but you can still see through it into the house:

I would love to have one of those for even putting house plants or my ferrets in. but yeah a long box like that should work. you should also patent it. really you should. you could make some decent money on it. and if i patented mine made from cardboard (recycled of course) it would be two entirely different things doing the same thing and we could both be RICH AS FUCK!

Alao note that the scan sucks major ass. the sketch book is bigger than the glass on the scanner. so yeah not so great of a scan.

We used to have one of these:

It's kind of like a window unit air conditioner except without the guts, just the shell. You could pull the curtains closed behind it, we used to do that and our cat loved it.

A couple of people have recommended this to me. I was specifically looking for something indoor and private, but I think I could incorporate something like this into the design. Thanks! :)
